The Parish Education Committee exists to encourage, promote and supervise Christian Education within the bounds of the Presbytery.

The areas of responsibility are:

  • Supporting Children’s and Youth Ministry in congregations (primarily through the work of the Advisers), and making known the various training events and other ventures.

  • Supporting and developing opportunities for Adult Learning, including the supervision of training for Readership, and supporting the Elder Trainer in the organisation of training events for elders and Kirk Sessions.

  • Administration of the Education and Events Fund.

  • Matters relating to Child Protection.

As directed by Presbytery, and in liaison with the Board of Parish Education, the committee will attend to other Parish Education matters.
