Mission Development

On 1st April 2008 the presbytery appointed Rev Allan S.Vint BSc BD MTh to work as Mission Development Officer (MDO)

The task of the MDO is to help develop the effiveness of Christian mission with the Dunfermline Presbytery area.

Allan is available in an advisory capacity for ministers, kirk sessions, mission committees and other agencies and groups who wish to develop their missional abilities

Topics which may be considered

Vision: How clear are your vision and objectives?

Welcome: How accessible is your church for visitors?

Sharing: How can you better tell others about the Gospel?

Groups: How can we start / develop a small group ministry?

Worship: How seeker sensitive are our times of worship?

Ministry: Are church members engaged in effective christian ministry?

Outreach: How are we potraying our church to the ourside world?

Engagement: How are we linking with our community?

These are only a few of the area which might be considered when looking at issues of mission development in the local church.
