This Committee is a major point of contact between Presbytery and the wider work of the Church. Its Convenor is a member of the General Assembly's Board of World Mission, serving, as all Presbytery-appointed Convenors do, on its Local Involvement Committee. The Board has a concern and responsibility for the foreign missionaries employed by the Church of Scotland. Ecumenical matters are dealt with by the General Assembly's Committee on Ecumenical Affairs. Presbytery's Committee is concerned with both aspects of the Church's work.. The main aspects of the Committee's work are:
1. To discuss the work of the Board and of the General Assembly's Committee and related matters sent down by the General Assembly, and to report to Presbytery as appropriate.
2. To promote an interest in Missionary Partners in the Churches within the Presbytery, and to arrange visits by missionaries on deputation to their Partner Churches.
3. To deal with ecumenical matters.
