The Business Committee meets
8.15pm in Abbey Church Halls
The main task of this Committee is to arrange the business of Presbytery. This includes the preparation of the Agenda for Presbytery Meetings and suggesting how correspondence should be dealt with. The Committee also brings to Presbytery proposals concerning the conduct of Services of Licensing, Ordination, Induction, Introduction and Setting aside of Readers, and brings to Presbytery for approval the composition of the Standing Committees of Presbytery, and Contracts of Service for Auxiliary Ministers. The Committee also acts in accordance with any instructions received from Presbytery.
Business Committee Members:
All Convenors all Standing Committees, plus two additional representatives from each Standing Committee, one of whom shall be the Vice-Convenor where one is appointed; together with the Moderator, immediate Past Moderator, Clerk, Treasurer, Press Officer, with power to co-opt when necessary.
